We relatively frequently encounter adnexal tumors diagnosed during pregnancy. Ultrasound examination enables to gather a range of more detailed informations about the nature of ovarian changes.
With the increasing sensitivity of ultrasound examination performed during pregnancy the number of captured adnexal pathologies is also increasing. Most such lesions have a tendency of spontaneous regression during the second trimester.
In the case of finding's persistence there is usually a threath of torsion or rupture and therefore surgical removal in the second trimester appears to be optimal.
