Abstract
Xe-Derma is a temporary biological cover derived from acellular pig dermis. Hydrated Xe-Derma displays biomechanical features similar to the normal human skin.
The aim of this retrospective study was to assess the efficacy of the Xe-Derma in treatment of partial-thickness scald burns in children. The acellular dry pig dermis Xe-Derma represents a reliable biological temporary wound cover material in the treatment of partial-thickness scald burns in pediatric population.
Acellular pig dermis brings a significant benefit to pediatric patients.
