The study summarized results of human biomonitoring of the Czech population to trace elements (Cd, Pb, Hg, Cu, Se. Zn).
The necessity of standardization of all preanalytical and analytical procedures is discussed. Normal values (medians) in blood and urine are presented.
Reference values (95% kvantils) are assessed. Until 2009 speciments from about 6000 adults and 5300 children aged 8-10 y were analyzed.
No significant difference between Czech and other European population was found.
