Determination of Neutral Saccharides by Capillary Electrophoresis with Contactless Conductivity Detection

Publication at Third Faculty of Medicine |
2011

Abstract

Capillary electrophoresis with contactless conductivity detection (C4D) was used for the determination of mono- and disaccharides. CE separation was successfully performed in NaOH solution of the concentration range 25-100 mmol/L, pH 12.5 - 12.9.

The developed method is characterized by a separation time shorter than 2.5 min. and limit of detection 0.1 mg/L. The method was applied to the determination of saccharides in foods, drinks and food additives.
