Healthy 46 years old woman with hormonal contraception suffered from severe acute hemispheral stroke caused by occlusion of medial cerebral artery. Percutaneous intervention using Solitaire(R) stent-retriever was started within 30 min of arrival.

Complete thrombectomy was followed by full recovery of neurological deficit within several hours. Neither thrombolysis nor general anesthesia was used.
