Abstract
Geriatric in this book focuses primarily on the processing of diagnosis, treatment, prevention and research of mental disorders in seniors, on the other hand, significantly overlaps with a number of other clinical and preclinical disciplines, particularly in geriatrics and internal medicine, with neurology, imaging techniques, genetics and other fields. The chapter deals with the issue of loss of independence of seniors, changes in mental, social and physical in the elderly and the impact on their quality of life.
