Clonidine in Premedication in Burn Patients

Abstract

In randomised study in 30 pts. with repeated ketamine anaesthesia clonidine (C) 0,15 mg i.v. and 0,30 mg i.m. suppressed sympatomimetic effects of anaesthesia and surgery and decreased doses of ketamine and diazepam. C 0,15 mg i.v. had no side effects, C 0,30 mg i.m. increased postoperative sedation
