Sleep rhythm, prediction of the course of illness, and therapy in a patient with bipolar affective disorders

Abstract

The course of illness in schizophrenic patients was analysed with respect to their individual rhythmicity. The future attacks were predicted from the optimal estimated period.

The accuracy of prediction was evaluated in dependency on the mean daily dose of antipsychotics in the period prior to the hospitalisation.
