Abstract
A critical history of Czech translation of Spanish romance verse with recurrent asonance from mid 19th century up to this date; focusing on functional equivalents and translation solutions on the material of Lorka s Gypsy Romances. The results suggest that inspite of the historical asymetry in the usage of asonance, the development of translation proves the functionality of constituted as a norm in the 60s."
