Utilisation of Arenesulphonylepimines in the Synthesis of Carbohydrates.

Abstract

The reactivity and regioselectivity of aziridine ring opening by hydrogenhalides in N-tosyl- and N-o-nitrobenzensulphonylepimino derivatives of 1,6-anhydro-beta-D-hexopyranoses having D-allo and D-manno configurations were studied.
