Long-term agonist stimulation of IP prostanoid receptor depletes the cognate G(s)alpha protein in membrane domains but does not change the receptor level

Abstract

This work reveals that only very small portion (1-3%) of cellular IP prostanoid receptor is localized in membrane domains together with about 40% Gs proteins. Prolonged stimulation results in a selective decrease of Gs protein content in membrane domains
