Abstract

Coal clast (pebbles, fragments and coarse coalifield plant remains) and coalifield plant debris are common constituents of the Upper Carboniferous sediments of the Upper Silesian basin. The coal clasts were analysed in detail to determine their maceral cmposition, coal rank and age.
