Abstract
In the laboratory, strength, compressibility and stiffness of stiff Tertiary Brno Clay were measured in the triaxial apparatus, shear box and in oedometer, on undisturbed and reconstituted specimens. The post rupture strength of the fissured clay was foud to correspond with the critical state strength of the reconstituted clay.
