Integrity and activity of PS2 complexes isolated from the thermophilic cyanobacterium Synechococcus elongatus using various detergents

Abstrakt

Seven detergents for selective extraction of cyanobacterial photosystem 2 were applied with a uniform protocol. Maximum rate of oxygen evolution with various electron acceptors, relative variable flourescence and the status of the electron acceptor and dnor sides of PS 2 were measured.
