Numerical modelling of the movement of a rigid particle in viscous fluid

Abstract

The Jeffery's equations are analysed and corrected. The parameters in the equations are evaluated by means of elliptic integrals.

This provides a possibility to solve numerically the flow around a rotating ellipsoidal particle.
