Heterophony of discourses of Art Education

Abstract

The nature of discourse in arts education is multilayered and hybrid. The qualitative research points to several levels of discourse in which the art discourse is dominating.

At the present time the art discourse itself is defined by interdisciplinary field of philosophy, visual semantic, poststructualism, cultural anthropology, psychoanalysis, film theory as well as gender studies can be registered. The conflict between modernism and postmodernism is transferred from the art both into the theory and practice and into the controversy about the concept of curricular documents, particularly into the conception of art education in the area of Art and Culture RVP.
