Families of people with intellectual disabilities. Current research directions and possibilities of special educational intervention

Abstract

The monograph presents results of the authors’ research projects from 2005 – 2008 primarily focused on stress and resiliency in families of people with intellectual disabilities. The publication highlights the current trends within research in the area of intellectual disabilities and also summarizes the possibilities of special educational intervention in these families within the whole life-span.
