The publication concerns the transition of school graduates from education to employment and changes in their labour market situation that occurred in the last ten years. The first part of the publication concerns the diversity of educational careers.
The second part deals with the ways in which graduates evaluate the education they have attained and the school they attended, and how this evaluation changed between 1997 and 2007. The third part focuses on social inequalities and their influence on educational attainment in Czech society.
This concern, in particular, the link between the education of parents and that of their offspring, inter-generational educational mobility, and the overall influence of family background on the level of education achieved. The fourth part of the publication concerns the very transfer of young people from education to the labour market, particularly their seeking of the first job, the quality of the job, their mobility at the beginning of their career and the quality.
