Abstract

The article presents features of approach to talented students at a chosen grammar school. The author analyses the educational program of Jan Kepler Grammar School in Prague, focusing on their strategies of work with gifted students.

The starting point at this school is individualization and differentiation of teaching. In terms of didactitcs, we meet the inner differentiation model, i.e. integrated teaching of the bright students in richly differentiated environment of a standard state school.

Both syllabus and method/organisation differentiation is present. The conclusion generalizes the analysis to a broader context of systematic encouragement and care of talent and motivation in students.
