Abstract
In the theoretical study the questions of paradigma of academic culture with regard for traditional and modern aspects of university life are opened. In the context of economical pressures and marketization the value, processes and conditions of education is changed.
In the same time the requirement of a quality and excellence of academic affairs and academic culture are formulated in political documents. We look for arguments for maintenance of the specific university culture, which is unique.
We analyze the features of the traditional academic culture and expose the modern characterstics.
