Abstract
The article concerns the development of practical music skils through the teaching of chamber music at elementary music schools both for beginning and advanced violinists with the focus on the music of the 20th century. It analyses 44 Duets for Two Violins (Sz. 98, BB 104; 1931) written by one of the most important composers of the 20th century Béla Bartók.
