Supra Solidam Petram: Quantification of External Costs on the Environment and Application of ExternE Methodology in the Czech Republic
Abstract
On this seminar different approaches of external costs were discussed with special interest to external costs caused by energy production. Further, top-down and bottom-up approaches and also ExternE methodology were presented and life cycle analysis and impact pathway analysis was introduced.
The special emphasis was done on valuation techniques used for assessing the damages on human health and their development and applicability in the Czech Republic. Also the preliminary results calculated for energy production and municipal waste incinerators were introduced.
