The Intravesical Instillation Of Propiverin And Oxybutinin In The Treatment Of Neurogenic Bladder Dysfunction In Children

Abstract

We report short time results of intravesical instillation of propiverin hydrochloride and oxybutinin chloride in the treatment neurogenic bladder dysfunction. Average dose of propiverine was 13 mg instilled by intermittent catheterisation twice a day.

Oxybutinin was administered three-times daily in average 4,5 mg. Best result were gained in both groups in the treatment of daytime incontinence.

It was improved in propiverine group in 75% of patient and in 80% of children in oxybutinin group respectively. No side effects were recorded during the treatment.
