Library and Information Services in Public Libraries: Services for the Medium-Aged Generation

Abstract

The aim of this article is highlight the possibilities of providing library services for young adult users, whose attendance in Czech public libraries decreases after initiation of economical activity (or graduation). This contribution defines target group of middle-aged users, takes account of the typology of users generations and on the basis of comparative analysis of Czech and foreign sources of information presents selected examples of good practice (cases for inspiration from European libraries).
