Analysis of the Hypolipidemics Consumption with the use of the Health Care Insurance Companies Databases

Abstract

The analysis (DDD) in 1994-1998 in three selected regions showed the increase of hypolipidemics prescription from 0.4-4 DDD/1,000 insured/day in 1994 to 16-24 DDD/1,000 insured/day in 1998. Mainly fibrates occured, but their ratio dropped from 90% to 60%
