Darzens reaction of 2-bromo-4,6-dimethoxy-3(2H)-benzofuranone with aromatic aldehydes to form flavonoids

Abstrakt

The products of the reaction of the title compound with various aromatic aldehydes under the condition of Darzens condensation were determined and the mechanism of the reaction was explained.
