Abstract

In this study it was purified a new membrane-bound carbonyl reductase from human liver microsomes that takes part to biotransformation of anticancer drug oracin. Determined kinetic parameters for this enzyme and oracin are several times better than the same parameters for 11beta-HSD1 that is currently only one well-known microsomal carbonyl reductase contributing to metabolism of xenobiotics.
