Review on antimycobacterial compounds similar to clofazimine

Publication at Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové |
2009

Abstract

Derivatives of 2,3-dianilinoquinoxaline synthesized and tested in our groups were found to be mostly wide-spectrum antimycobacterial agents. However, other compounds which possess an oxalamidine moiety are also compounds with the antimycobacterial activities.

The substructure of an oxalamidine is probably the pharmacophore that is responsible for the antimycobacterial activity of 2,3-dianilinoquinoxalines and related compounds.
