Abstract

Nasal polyps are caused by the lining of the paranasal sinuses into the nasal cavity. An uninitiated person could describe this disease as an almost cosmetic defect, but the patient can be uncomfortably tormented.

Polyps clog the nasal passages, so patients usually cannot (or have difficulty) breathe through the nose.
