Although significant progress has been made in recent years in understanding the importance of amino acids in nutrition, refining their recommended dietary doses and more detailed information on their metabolism, there are still many unanswered questions that are the subject of ongoing research in nutrition and metabolism. Great interest is paid especially to essential and conditionally essential amino acids, especially in conditions of increased demands of the organism - in stressful situations (stress, illness, trauma, etc.).
This article summarizes some important data about amino acids, their metabolism and importance for the child's body.
