Abstract
Vestibular rehabilitation plays a significant role in the treatment of patients with balance disorders. An important moment for the correct indication of treatment is a suitably chosen therapy respecting the nature of a particular disability.
Rehabilitation is to accelerate the process of vestibular compensation, support adaptation mechanisms and the development of alternative strategies. It is necessary to respect fundamental differences in the rehabilitation of patients in the acute or chronic phase of peripheral vestibular disorders and patients with central vestibular symptoms.
