Abstract

Preterm infants after birth, requiring treatment in intensive care have many health problems related to virtually all organ systems and may persist to some extent even in the later stages of their development. Among the most common respiratory problems in immature newborns admitted to home care include apnoické pause and chronic lung disease (bronchopulmonary dysplasia), which in this communication a more detailed discussion.
