Abstract

Rehabilitation of toothless patients with cleft palate is very difficult. There are several reasons that lead to difficulties in the structural function of total dental prostheses: discrepancy in the mutual relations between the jaws, conditioned mainly by hypoplasia of the upper jaw, deformation and flat relief of the prosthetic bed, all multiplied by high resistance of the reinforced mucosa and atypical attachment of defects.

The real method of choice is therefore the application of implants. The study demonstrates the reconstruction of a patient with a cleft defect with the support of implants.
