Empirical treatment of febrile neutropenia in hematooncological patients - experts' advice with the support of CELL, COS CLS JEP

Abstrakt
The authors prepared a recommendation for empirical treatment of febrile neutropenia - the most common infectious in haematooncological patients. In this consensus they present conclusions and recommendations for diagnostics and treatment, based on the results of extensive clinical studies and meta-analysis, in order to create a concise and clear document.
For further information and analysis of reference studies we refer to other articles in this supplement. Due to significant differences in the epidemiological situation of individual regions and also centers, these recommendations do not replace local empirical treatment protocols - the authors recommend their further preparation and regular revisions.
