Abstract

Renal biopsy (RB) has become a safe method of examining the renal parenchyma in recent years. You should keep in mind that you have an invasive procedure who may be at risk from other recipients.

RB is indicated in the diagnosis of glomerular and interstitial diseases, it is important for assessing the activity of renal disease, the extent of changes in the renal parenchyma, to decide on long-term immunosuppressive therapy, to evaluate treatment success, to determine the progression of renal disease, etc. We have experience with 2000 renal biopsies in children and adolescents.

If necessary, we summarize the results of 200 renal biopsies demonstrated in the available 4 years with a more detailed clinical-histological analysis; graft biopsies after kidney transplantation are not excluded.
