Intrusion of temporary teeth can cause serious injuries to periodontal tissues. Intrusion occurs after an impact in which a force acts in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the tooth.
The case report deals with the intrusion of the upper temporary incisors in a one-year-old child and the complications that occurred 3 years and 7 months after the injury. The injury resulted in a periapical inflammatory lesion in tooth 51, which was probably the source of focal infection and repeatedly contributed to the development of glomerulonephritis in the child.
