Abstract

In the protection against infectious diseases acquired on the way to the tropics and subtropics, it is appropriate to use the possibility of specific immunoprevention. In the Czech Republic, the procedure for vaccinations before trips abroad is based on legal regulations.

All vaccinations before going abroad individually, according to the real risk of infection, are planned and carried out by workplaces that deal with the issue of travel medicine. Vaccination is valid for physical, resp. legal persons applying for vaccination.

Currently, vaccination against yellow fever is mandatory under international regulations, other vaccinations are only recommended. The article provides an overview of available vaccines in the Czech Republic and discusses the most frequently indicated and used vaccinations (vaccination against yellow fever, viral hepatitis A and B, typhoid fever, meningococcal meningitis, rabies, Japanese encephalitis), including answers to some frequently asked questions. brought by practice.
