Abstract

With the opening of our borders, completely new opportunities for tourism have emerged. However, traveling brings not only unique experiences in exotic environments, but also health risks.

In addition to injuries, sudden complications or worsening of chronic diseases, overheating or the consequences of unreasonable sunbathing, travelers are at risk of infectious diseases. Diarrheal infections, inflammation of the airways, inflammation of the liver and, last but not least, sexually transmitted diseases most often occur.

A rarer but life-threatening risk is malaria, which occurs in connection with a stay in malarial areas in failure to follow the necessary preventive measures.
