Severe undiagnosed hypoglycemia in a type 1 diabetic patient following an unplanned physical exertion and alcohol intake documented by the CGMS report

Abstract

The case report documents a severe undiagnosed hypoglycemia in a patient with type 1 diabetes mellitus following an excessive physical exertion and subsequent moderate alcohol intake by a report of a subcutaneous glucose monitoring sensor (CGMS). The report shows a continuous hypoglycemia lasting for several hours; then the patient was awaked by an alarm of the sensor.
