Abstract

Transoesophageal echocardiography in the patients with CVA and low risk of embolic ethiology. Based on the results of transthoracal echocardiography (TTE) we deal with the determination of significance of the transoesophageal echocardiography (TEE) in the patients with ischemic CVA with low risk of embolic ethiology (sinusal rhythm and normal function of left heart ventricle).

We made a retrospective evaluation of TEE examinations of the period from 2000, 1st January to 2002, 31st December in the patients with ischemic CVA with sinusal rhythm and normal left ventricle function.
