Diseases affecting the peripheral vestibular system represent the majority of diseases that are manifested by dizziness. The most common diseases include benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, vestibular neuronitis and vestibular paroxysmia.
Vestibular neuronitis can lead to an incomplete lesion, which often leads to benign paroxysmal positional vertigo. The presented text summarizes the basic clinical pictures of individual diseases affecting the vestibular apparatus.
