Chronic rhinosinusitis and ocular motility impairment

Abstract

Differential diagnosis of diplopia and extraocular muscle paralysis myogenic includes a variety of diseases. These clinical signs are typical especially for diseases of neurogenic etiology.

Rarely been described as possibly associated with inflammatory process in the sinuses. We present two cases of patients who were reported diplopia and general non-specific symptoms.

At the same time have been diagnosed with chronic inflammatory changes in paranasal sinuses. In both cases occurred after surgery for sinus problems to retreat and disappearance of diplopia.
