Abstract

In 2009, celebrating our 80th professional Society of Cardiology anniversary of its founding. Czechoslovak Society of Cardiology (CCP) was founded 13th December 1929 in Prague, most of its emergence deserved Václav Libenský, which was its first president.

It is certainly remarkable that the CCP was established as the second European Society of Cardiology of the German Society of Cardiology (founded in 1927) and third in the world after the American Heart Association (founded in 1924). Only five years after the CCP has created more of Cardiology in Argentina, Italy and the Netherlands.
