Childhood autism: an overview of current knowledge

Abstract

Childhood autism is a serious developmental disorder, the lower is characterized by impaired ability to interact with people, respond appropriately to stimuli from the environment, the compulsive desire for immutability and other severely affected life of the individual and his surroundings. Recently, a number of important advances have been made in understanding both the causes of this disease and the possibility of a single therapeutic effect.

The publication summarizes new foreign and domestic knowledge about childhood autism and the spectrum of related disorders with emphasis on the research and clinical experience of authors who deal with the issue. It will also include issues of the organization of dependent psychosocial care for children with these disorders and their families, including self-help activities and parents' experiences.
