Abstract

Biliary atresia (BA) is the most common cause of cholestasis in the first 3 months of life, as well as the most common cause of liver cirrhosis, chronic liver failure and the most common indication for liver transplantation (TJ) in children (more than 50%), but the percentage is significantly higher in children under 2 years.
