Eating disorders can cause mental illnesses that include changes in both psychic and somatic areas. It is a patient last half century who have their own authors exhibit among civilization diseases.
It mainly affects girls and young women. At the beginning, it often affects the period of puberty and adolescence.
Revision 10 The International Classification of Diseases identifies anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa. In doing so, both forms who pervade each other.
Very common illness starts as anorexia nervosa and soon goes to bulimia nervosa. Sometimes the authors consider the term bulimarexia.
According to literature, up to 50% of patients with anorexia nervosa go into bulimia nervosa, according to our observations 100% of the bulimia patients report a short episode of anorexia nervosa.
