Abstract
Separation anxiety disorder in childhood belongs to the group of emotional disorders with onset specific to childhood. A key diagnostic feature is excessive anxiety manifests in the child the imminent possibility, whether real or perceived, of separation from loved ones persons, most often from the mother.
