Abstract

Suicide - suicide - and suicidal behavior are a serious problem that can be viewed in terms of medical, psychological, philosophical, ethical, sociological, legal... Experienced authors, psychiatrist and clinical psychologist, provide an overview of current approaches to suicidal behavior.

They pay special attention to suicides in children and adolescents. The book describes the epidemiology of suicide, gives a clinical picture on the level of behavior and experience, presents the developmental aspects of suicidal behavior, emphasizes risk factors and their detection.

It deals in detail with various therapeutic approaches and prevention. The explanation is supplemented by a number of case studies.
