Diagnostic procedures in candidates for epileptosurgery

Abstract

The large population studies show that about 60% suffer from epilepsy focal epileptic seizures. When the prevalence of epilepsy is about 1% for approximately 0.4% of the population.

For about 20% of them on farmakorezistentní epilepsy, the incidence is about 135/100 000 inhabitants. Up to 50% of refractory epilepsy is a potential candidate for one of epileptosurgical procedures.
