Abstract
The publication focuses on sociological aspects of complementary and alternative medicine. In detail, the history and current regulation of the practice in homeopathy, Traditional chinese medicine and lay healing is provided.
Attitudes of Czech physicians are presented on the basis of empirical surveys.
